What we do with your data

Loste is the data controller. This page covers match.getloste.com only. The shop has its own policy at getloste.com.

Your photo

Your photo is sent to our styling model so it can read the colours and the occasion, and it is held in memory only for as long as that takes. We never store it, and it is never used to train anything. We do not run face recognition and we keep no record of who is in a photo.

Your result

When you tap Share, we save the text of your result so the link keeps working: the set names, the colours we read, and the short styling reason. That is kept for 90 days and then deleted. It holds nothing that identifies you, and it never includes your photo.

When a match does not work

If we cannot honestly match your outfit, we record the colours and the occasion so we know which shades to make next. That is kept for 90 days and then deleted, the same as a shared result. There is nothing personal in that record, and it never includes your photo.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count how many people use the tool and whether it helps. It only runs if you agree when we ask, and you can decline without losing anything. We collect no advertising data here.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to christy@getloste.com and we will answer within a month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
